2026–2027 Season

Our Robot

Building on what our OG members started. Our 2026-2027 robot is in early development as we await the game reveal in September.

🚧

Robot In Development

The 2026-2027 FTC game will be revealed in September. We're using the off-season to refine our skills, study last year's lessons, and plan our approach.

2026-2027 BIOBUZZ Season

Multiversal Bot — BIOBUZZ

Our 2026-2027 robot is being designed for BIOBUZZ — the new FTC game. We're applying everything we learned in our rookie year — auto-locking turrets, refined drivetrain control, full odometry, and 12-program autonomous strategy — to the challenges BIOBUZZ presents.

Plans for 2026–2027

What We're Carrying Forward

Building on the experience and infrastructure our OG members created in the rookie year.

⚙️

Drivetrain (Planned)

Building on our Mecanum drivetrain expertise, we're exploring options for the new game including swerve and refined Mecanum configurations.

🦾

Manipulator (TBD)

Game-piece manipulation will be designed once the 2026-2027 game is revealed. Our team has experience with intakes, shooters, and turret systems.

📡

Vision System

We plan to carry forward our AprilTag tracking expertise from last season, with potential upgrades to higher-resolution cameras and faster processing.

🎯

Autonomous

Our PedroPathing-based autonomous system proved effective with 12 programs last season. We're expanding this knowledge for the new game.

Engineering Design Process

How We Build

💡

Develop an Idea

We rapidly generate ideas through prototypes and sketches, iterating quickly to explore possibilities.

⚖️

Check Capacity

We evaluate feasibility using decision matrices and compare trade-offs before committing to a design.

🔨

Implement

Parts not on hand are 3D printed. We build to our CAD design with regular cross-team check-ins.

🔁

Reflect & Refine

After every competition, we reflect on challenges and incorporate better mechanisms for the next event.

Lessons from the Rookie Year

What We Learned

🗺️

PedroPathing Odometry

Last season we built a 3-encoder-pod odometry system with PedroPathing for smooth autonomous movement. This expertise carries forward into the new season.

📡

AprilTag Auto-Lock

Our auto-locking camera turret was a game-changer in DECODE. We'll apply this AprilTag vision work to whatever the new game throws at us.

🎮

12 Autonomous Programs

The 12-program autonomous selection system Rithvik built will be our launching point for autonomous strategy in the 2026-2027 season.
