The short version
- We don't use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies.
- We don't sell, rent, or share your information. Ever.
- The contact form emails us your message — it isn't stored in a database.
- Donations are handled entirely by HCB. We never see your card details.
Who we are
This website is operated by Multiversal, FIRST Tech Challenge Team #32610, a student robotics team based at Round Rock High School in Round Rock, Texas. In this policy, "we," "us," and "our" refer to the team. "The site" refers to multiversalrobotics.com.
We are a student team, not a company. This site exists to share what we build, recognize our sponsors, and let people get in touch or support us.
Information you give us
Contact form
If you fill out the form on our Contact page, you provide your name, email address, a subject, and your message. That information is sent directly to our team email inbox ([email protected]) so we can reply.
We do not store contact form submissions in any database. The message exists only as an email in our inbox, which is hosted by Google (Gmail). We keep those emails as long as they're useful for the conversation, and delete them when they're not.
Donations
Donations are processed on our Donate page through an embedded form provided by HCB, a program of The Hack Foundation. When you donate, your name, email, message, and payment details are submitted directly to HCB and their payment processor — that information does not pass through our website or our server, and we never have access to your card or bank details.
We can see the donor name, amount, and any note you choose to include, so we know who to thank. HCB's own privacy practices govern that form; please review HCB's policies for details on how they handle your data.
Email and phone
If you email or call us directly, we receive whatever you choose to share. We use it only to respond to you.
Information collected automatically
Cookies
We use one cookie, and only when it's needed:
- Session cookie — set when a team member logs into the private admin area, or briefly when the site needs to show you a confirmation message (such as "Message sent!") after you submit the contact form. It keeps you logged in or carries that one-time notice, and it expires within 24 hours.
We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party tracking. There is no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, and no advertising network on this site. That's also why you won't see a cookie consent banner — we don't set anything that requires one.
Server and security logs
Our site is served through Cloudflare, which sits in front of our server to provide HTTPS encryption and protection against attacks. As part of that, Cloudflare and our web server process standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the page you requested, and the time of the request. This is used for security and to keep the site running — not to build a profile of you or to identify individual visitors.
Fonts
We load fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser fetches them, Google receives your IP address as part of that request. We don't send Google any other information about you.
What we never do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not rent, trade, or share it with advertisers or data brokers.
- We do not send marketing emails or add you to a mailing list.
- We do not attempt to identify or track individual visitors across other websites.
Children's privacy
This site is intended for a general audience — sponsors, families, mentors, and the robotics community — and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information through our contact form, please contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other sites
We link to outside sites such as FIRST Inspires, our sponsors, and HCB. Once you follow a link off this site, we have no control over that site's practices. This policy covers only multiversalrobotics.com.
How we protect information
The site is served entirely over HTTPS, so traffic between your browser and our site is encrypted. The admin area is password-protected, and passwords are stored only as hashes — never as readable text. Because we store so little in the first place, there is very little to expose.
That said, no website can promise perfect security, and we won't pretend otherwise.
Your choices
You can always:
- Browse this site without submitting any personal information at all.
- Email or call us instead of using the contact form.
- Ask us what information we hold about you, and ask us to delete it.
- Block or clear cookies in your browser — the site will still work normally.
To make any of those requests, email [email protected].
Changes to this policy
If we change how this site handles information, we'll update this page and change the "last updated" date at the top. Meaningful changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
